When you work with me, you get a space where you’re in charge but there’s balance. You won’t feel pushed into doing anything you don’t want to do but therapy is a place to make the uncomfortable comfortable and vice versa so you can find relief as you navigate your self discovery journey.

Individual Therapy FAQs

  • I meet with clients virtually over a secure video chat. My clients are mostly from the Philadelphia-area but I accept clients from all over Pennsylvania.

  • All sessions are currently being conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video platforms. In-person sessions are not offered at this time. The decision of whether to seek therapy via in-person sessions or virtually is a personal one with pro’s and con’s for each option. See our blog post about Online vs. In-Person Therapy for more information.

  • We accept Aetna, Highmark (Blue Cross Blue Shield), and Quest insurance, however not all insurance plans cover mental health services with our providers. We are not Medicaid or Medicare providers. Please contact your insurance company to understand more about your coverage with our group and if teletherapy is covered. They may ask for information about us: our NPI number is 1972374585, our EIN is 874185062, and the CPT codes are 90791 and 90837. We do not participate in EAP programs.

  • Venting is normal human behavior but it’s not part of therapy. While client autonomy is extrememly important, therapy isn’t just a place to vent where you want someone to provide feedback or suggestions and guidance. While everyone’s needs are different, therapy is great for tackling hard areas of your life that are hindering you from moving forward and growing as a person.

  • Sometimes it takes a while to find the right therapist - it can be a lot of trial and error. That’s why I offer a free consultation to see if we’re a good fit for each other.

Therapy is different for everyone. I try to strike a balance with my clients where I may push those who are complacent and allow space for people who are too hard on themselves. Your mental health provider should be flexible in their approach and I try to do exactly that with each client.
